This is not strictly an event of ours, but it is where we will be - at a beer festival in Tréguier for the weekend Saturday/Sunday 5 & 6 July, showing off our beer - instead of being at the pub selling it to you guys. We have then awarded ourselves a couple of days holiday at the seaside and normal service resumed here on Thursday 10th.

For the second year, the Tumulus at Carnoët will be "en fête" for 3 days at the end of May (www.tumulusenfete.fr). As part of this weekend, we are hosting a jazz concert featuring Le Hot Club du Kreiz-Breizh (www.hckb-swing.com) on Friday 30 May from 10pm. Entry 2€. Venez nombreux !

Saturday 11 August 2007. We will have 4 different real ales brewed by us, all in barrels and all being dispensed on gravity. For those who do not like beer or real ale the bar will be open as usual serving other drinks.

We will also, from about 4 o'clock in the afternoon, have some non-compulsory silly games to be played mainly in teams outside the pub:
- land canoe racing,
- skittles,
- deaf, dumb and blind wheelbarrow racing
- anything else we think of in time to organise

Weather permitting, in lieu of the restaurant, there will be a barbecue in the early evening (veg and meat-eaters both catered for).

The dynamic electric blues band Bluesgroove, featuring singer Calli Baker, will be playing a selection of blues with a funky edge - not the usual harmonica and slide guitar sound associated with blues bands. An excellent evening's entertainment. Entry €5 payable on the door to the band.

As part of a weekend of events in Carnoët in celebration of the local library's first birthday we are having an evening of Celtic music - singing and guitars, mandolins, pipes, bhodrans etc from 9pm. Entry free.

In what might become a regular monthly fixture, electric blues band "BLUESGROOVE" will be playing in the back bar featuring singer Calli Baker. The band will be collecting 5 Euros per person on the door. Their cd "Bringing' back the groove" will be on sale on the night

1. Rugby
We will be showing the last 3 games of the 6 nations rugby one after the other on wide screen tv: Italy v Ireland at 14:30, France v Scotland at 16:30 and Wales v England at 18:30.

2. Beer
All day promotion of Orson Ale, a classic example of a true English Bitter Beer, brewed by the Les Fous Micro Brasserie, Côtes D'Armor's newest and smallest micro-brewery (established 2007!). Orson Ale is the first of what will be a range of artisanally produced Real Ales and Beers and will be available in 33cl bottles a promotional price...

3. Music
From 21:00 an evening of Irish Music. The O'Fous Furieux will be playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, bodhran and the fool in celebration of St Patrick's Day / the results of the rugby / the imminent arrival of Spring / whatever else needs celebrating.

Exciting news for 2007 is that we have started brewing our own beer in the style of English Real Ale.

Orson Ale (4.1%) - yes, named after the dog - will be available in bottles from 1 March and will be on proper handpump (no gas) from some time in the summertime. It will be our regular beer and will be available on pump and in bottles.

The other animals will get a look in from time to time with Uggi Ale (5.4%) being the first guest - available in bottles from late March.

Things have been happening in 2006. We just never seem to get time to post them on the site. Come and visit, and we will tell you all about it personally.

During 2006, we plan a schedule of events including musical evenings, art exhibitions and demonstrations, and special culinary events.
